Legalization of Medical Marijuana

Should marijuana be a medical option? The use of marijuana has been dated back to around 157 BC and has been used all over the country and in several different nations as a medicine and a herbal substitute for over the counter meds today.  People die everyday do to a overdose on prescription drugs or alcohol but there has never been a single recorded death do to the consumption of marijuana. There are proven benefits from the use of marijuana under supervision of a doctor and use of the substance in moderation that are allot safer and altogether more effective than prescription drugs.

Marijuana can be used to help people suffering from all types of cancer. People who undergo kemo theory have a drop in want to eat and server stiffness in joints. Marijuana helps regain a appetite and relaxes the muscles to loosen stiffness and help the person.

There has been testing done that has shown that when marijuana is used on patients who have altimeter's disease, while under the influence of THC (the active ingredient in marijuana ) can remember important details that were lost to the person as if a ship lost at sea. If a person is sick to their stomach and are nauseous marijuana can help reduce the sicking pain and can prevent the process of vomiting from occurring.

If marijuana was legalized it would greatly reduce crime rate and could benefit millions who need  safer drugs that would be easier on your vital organs and could prevent farther damage due to prescription or over the counter drugs. All prescription drugs not only contain the drug itself but a hardener to keep the pill in a solid form and a preservative to keep the product good while on the shelf. These chemicals are very very hard and destructive on your vital organs mainly your liver and kidneys. For more information click here.

In 2012 the Legalization of Medical Marijuana was put up for vote in Arkansas and lost by a two percent vote ratio. In four years it will be added to the ballot again and I have faith that it will be legalized for medical use and can help people all over the state and reduce crime rate. In the country today, Colorado and Washington, have legalized marijuana not only for medical use but recreational use. It is totally legal to people over the age of twenty one. This stoped the street selling of the medicine and almost stoped illegal trafficking of the substance.
